I'm looking for stores in the price range of Urban Outfitters but with clothes that are slightly more edgy and distinct, while still being considered casual wear. Abercrombie = Too preppie, Nordstrom = Too plain, to give a slightly better frame of reference.

Zara is awesome! Reasonably priced too.
I really like Guess. It has some great clothes. I'm from Canada where we don't have macy's but I've spent some time in LA and they have Macy's. Sometimes you can find some awesome clothes for a really good deal.

If I could pick one store where I walk into and literally could buy 90% of the clothes they offer, it's Premier Men. Everything about their shirts - style, coloring, fit - is perfect. And they're good for all sorts of occasions - clubs, work, dates, etc. Only problem is they're kind of pricey, as to be expected (most shirts are around $70-$80).
